Frequently asked questions

What is YumSpot?

YumSpot is an iPhone and Android app that answers “where shall we eat?” with food videos. Every video leads to a real restaurant with its rating, opening hours, menu and directions. Thousands of restaurants and over 4,000 videos are already in the app.

Is YumSpot free?

Yes. The app is free on the App Store and Google Play. You can watch videos, search for a restaurant, and see the map and reviews without paying anything.

How do offers and the loyalty card work?

Partner restaurants show their offers on their page, with the days, times and who they are for. Your YumSpot card is in the app: you show your QR code at the counter, the restaurant validates your visit, and its rewards unlock as you come back. Each restaurant has its own counter: visits don't add up from one restaurant to another.

Where do the videos come from?

From food creators who try restaurants, and from the restaurants themselves. Each video is linked to the restaurant it shows, with its address and opening hours.

Where do the reviews come from?

The page shows reviews left on YumSpot first, then Google reviews, each from newest to oldest. You can leave your own review after your visit.

Which cities does it work in?

YumSpot already covers over 600 cities, from big cities to smaller ones. Open the map: it shows the restaurants around you, up to 30 km away.

I run a restaurant. How do I manage my page?

In the app, go to Profile › For business and claim your page. Once it's approved, you can put your video at the top of the feed and keep your opening hours up to date.

I make food videos. How do I join YumSpot?

In the app, go to Profile › Do you make food videos? Enter your username, add the code you receive to your bio, and your verified profile is created once approved.
